She continued her studies with the Open College of the Arts in Barnsley, where she developed a passion for acrylics, her rural surroundings and the local history of Askern.
She had much success within her local area by exhibiting a controversial painting named 'The Hunt Meets the Swan' in the Askern town hall.
Other exhibitions which have included her work are The Doncaster Open Art Exhibition 2005, 2006, 2007 and The Open College of the Arts 'Open Seamers of Gold' Exhibition in Barnsley.
